Jenny, Caleb, Luke and I had a great time at Emerald Isle with my family. We were there for three days and it was great to spend some time with my family (both nuclear and extended!)
Caleb enjoyed playing on the beach – you know, digging holes, jumping in the holes, holding sand fiddlers, finding [...]

Today, after church, we are headed to the beach to spend a few days together. We’ll be back for Wednesday Night Prayer Meeting.
My parents have rented a couple condos next to each other and have invited my two sisters and myself to bring our families down for a little R&R. While we’re down, [...]

Tomorrow is our first attempt at revamping the way our church fills the different positions of service and leadership in our church for the upcoming church year. Move over Junior, we have a new puppy in the McLamb family. He’s small and full blooded. He even has papers. But this puppy requires a LOT of special treatment.
The new puppy Luke! Okay, so he’s not a real puppy, but I think he thinks he is. Yesterday, while Jenny [...]

For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do. [...]

In answering this question, one may simply choose to say “because He’s God and it’s His decision.” And that is true and even biblical (For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts -Isaiah 55:9, ESV).
In addition to the above [...]

I came across a new website the other day will reading Dr. Alvin Reid’s blog, Books, Culture and the Gospel. The website is designed to help us share the gospel using the internet as a medium. I haven’t looked through the whole thing fully, but the idea is really neat.
Here it is in [...]
