We’re Approved!

This afternoon, Jenny and I received a call informing us that the IMB’s Board of Trustees subcommittee voted to recommend we be appointmented as IMB missionaries. We are ecstatic! And now the scary part really begins .

The Vote

Today is the day for the subcommittee of the IMB’s Board of Trustees’ vote to accept or reject my family for international missionary service in Bolivia. Pray for us today. I will try and post this evening once we’ve heard from them (we will hear from them later this afternoon).

Praise God!

Santa Cruz, Bolivia

Video of Santa Cruz
I have no idea what these guys are saying in Spanish, but I think (from other pictures I’ve seen) that this is Plaza 24 de Septiembre in Santa Cruz.

Spiritual Disciplines for the Christian Life

Over the past couple months, I have been teaching on Spiritual Disciplines on Wednesday nights based on the book, Spiritual Disciplines for the Christian Life by Donald S. Whitney. I completed the series last night with a lesson on “persevering in the disciplines”, the same way Whitney concludes the book. In thinking about [...]

Upcoming Post

In the coming days (or weeks), I plan to post an article entitled, “Why I’m a Southern Baptist.” My purpose in this post is to do something that I think is needed from time to time… someone to say something nice about their church/denomination. I could write an article about my church but [...]
