Just had to tell it!

Guess what time ALL three of my boys got up yesterday and this morning?
6:00am!!!!!!!!!!
For some, this may sound early, but this is a WONDERFUL time for them to get up here!  Jenny and I have both enjoyed a few extra quiet minutes to rest or have your QT or whatever.  I just had to tell [...]

I climbed a mountain

Yesterday I went with a group of other students from ILE (our Language Institute) and we caught a couple buses to a place here in San Jose where you can hike up this mountain.  At the top, and along the way, are 3 huge crosses, which are visible from San Jose.  The elevation here in [...]

A multi-cultural party

Because Jen and the boys are a little under the weather, they stayed home today from school.  It was, to my remembrance, the first time I’ve walked to school in the morning by myself.  Funny, I left the house at roughly the same time but I got to my class about 10 minutes faster.  I [...]

Some Days Are Harder Than Others

We had wellness visits for the boys today to get check ups and some vaccinations.  Caleb got 3 shots, Elijah got 2, and Luke got 1.  I even ended up getting one!  Along with that, we found out that there is still some sickness lingering in the house (we knew that there were still some coughing and what not).
The sick count:

John-  Throat infection

Jenny- Respiratory infection (she [...]

My parents have come and gone, I’ve preached in chapel (thanks for praying, I think it went well), and it’s already Wednesday.  It is amazing how quickly time flies.
Over the past couple days, Jenny and I haven’t done too much save homework.  I was thinking about it- I don’t think we’ve gone anywhere but school [...]

A post from my mom (Part 9)

Well, today was the last day here in beautiful Costa Rica.  Because of the sickness of the family, we did not go to church, but John had the resurrection eggs for the children and read them a story.  In fact, we we had the resurrection egg story two times.  The boys loved it.  We have [...]

A post from my mom (Part 8)

Today began a little more slowly due to the fact that Jenny, Luke, and Caleb are sick.  John, Mac, the boys and I played this morning.  Luke went to bed and slept until the middle of the afternoon.  He has a fever of about 103 degrees.  Mac, John, Elijah, Caleb, and I went to walk [...]
