We arrived here safely today in Chiquian. Thank you for your prayers. We don´t currently have internet access and the internet cafe by our house is closed today so further emails and blogs will be delayed. Thank you for your prayers. We will communicate further as we are able. Currently, I am not able to [...]

Tomorrow we will again be moving “up the mountain” as we head for our permanent Peruvian home in Chiquian. Chiquian is 12,000 feet above sea level, 2,000 feet higher than where we are currently. We would covet your prayers as we travel the 2-2.5 hour trip and as we seek to make the house [...]

Okay, so I’m a little biased but I think Jenny’s best two posts are her two most recent ones. You have to go to her blog and check them out. They are both hilarious. Here are the links:
Little Shop of Horrors
My maiden voyage with Ol’ Mac
Okay, on a more serious note: the boys are doing [...]

Night before last, after a good day, Caleb woke up in the middle of the night with difficulty breathing and a familiar sound… the croup! Long story short, we took him to the local clinic to see a pediatrician yesterday afternoon and she originally wanted to hospitalize him. Fortunately, she gave him some IV meds [...]

This bag of milk and package of chocolate covered saltines was a part of our “welcome pack” at the guest house in Lima. I thought you’d enjoy the Peruvian version of milk and cookies .
And, yes, the cookies are actually AMAZING! We’ve already finished that pack and brought another package with us to Huaraz.

We had another good day here in Huaraz. We were able to go back downtown this morning and complete the “adventure” we began yesterday before Caleb’s tummy ache. Everyone did GREAT! All three boys seemed to enjoy themselves. We got our pictures with the Llamas today (and some people posed with Caleb and a Llama [...]

While yesterday’s trip was great, Caleb’s getting sick soon after arrival definitely put a damper on things. Throw in all the extra work that comes with moving into a new place at 10,000 ft and you’ve got some tired campers! Well, last night wasn’t great, but it was obviously enough to get the energy needed [...]

We drove up to Huaraz yesterday. I will post more when I get the chance. It was an uneventful drive, except Caleb threw up a little while after we got here (i guess from the altitude). The house in Huaraz is temporary, we’ll be here about a week or two. After which, we’ll move again. [...]

Yesterday we had another great day here in Lima. We left the boys yesterday morning with Keith and Carolyn here at the guest house so that we could go and register for our Residency ID card with Interpol (I think this is what we did!). After that we had a meeting to get oriented to [...]

I only have a minute (maybe less if the Internet goes out again), but I wanted to let you all know what has been going on here in Lima.
Yesterday, we went to a nice place for a buffet breakfast with Keith and his family. After that, the ladies came back to the house to sort [...]
