Back Safely From Nazca

Jenny, the boys and I got home from Nazca yesterday about supper time and are glad to be in our home and in our beds- even the boys must have been glad to be home as they slept in until 7:20am, unheard of in our family!  This morning, the boys are playing as hard as they can in the back yard and Jenny and I are attempting to catch up on the mass of emails that awaited us.

Tomorrow night my nephew Bill is arriving to visit with us from the United States.  In honesty, I’m excited to have him as a ministry partner- many of the places we will go this week are best visited in pairs.  He is going to stay with us a week.

We also will be hosting the 4th of July gathering for the IMB’s missionaries serving here in Peru.  I don’t know yet just how many to expect, but it should be really fun.  I look forward to giving my new grill a good workout :) .

Okay, this is a bad picture, but it is more impressive in person. These lines, known as the "tree", were formed in the desert some 2000 years ago. The "tree" is upside down in the photo.

Jenny just loves Latin American tourism :). From the top, one can see "the tree" and "the hand".

Here we are walking up to one of the "free" vantage points of the lines. The metal towers cost us 67 cents and $1.33 respectively for our family.

  2. Bro, I’m glad you’ve been putting a little $$$ aside each month so you could afford those expensive lookout towers. I’ll give an extra dime or two to Lottie Moon this year so you guys can have another vacation.
